EMBASSY ADVISORY
AD-059-2022
(18 August 2022, Singapore) The Philippine Embassy informs the public that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of Singapore recently released its Singapore Terrorism and Threat Assessment (STTA) Report 2022, which aims to alert the public ofn the security environment in the country and in the region.
According to the SSTA 2022, the terrorism threat to Singapore remains high. While there is currently no specific intelligence of an imminent terrorist attack, the country continues to feature as a target on terrorist propaganda. Terrorist elements may become more active with the relaxation of pandemic restrictions and resumption of cross-border travel.
Additional information may be found in the report, which is accessible through the MHA website at this link: https://www.mha.gov.sg/docs/default-source/default-document-library/singapore-terrorism-threat-assessment-report-2022.pdf
Thus, the Embassy joins the Singapore Government in encouraging the public, especially our kababayans in Singapore, to remain vigilant and be well-prepared as these are the key components of defence against terrorism. Everyone is encouraged to report anyone who knows or suspects that a person is radicalized and should promptly contact the ISD Counter-Terrorism hotline 1800-2626-473 (1800-2626-ISD).
