16 November 2017 – The National Gallery Singapore launched on 15 November 2017 the “Century of Light” showcase that features 19th century art. Part of this showcase is an exhibition entitled “Between Worlds” that features Juan Luna as one of two Southeast Asian artists.

Senior Minister of State Maliki Osman was the guest of honor during the launch that was also attended by columnist and historian, Professor Ambeth Ocampo (who also served as consultant of the project), National Museum of the Philippines Director Jeremy Barns, former Secretary of Finance Jose Isidro Camacho, and representatives of the Ateneo Art Gallery.

Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba, Jr., and his wife Dr. Ana Ancheta, Consul Gonaranao B. Musor, and Cultural Officer Sheila B. Bengtlars represented the Embassy.

The showcase will run from 16 November 2017 to 11 March 2018.
