Philippine Embassy joins Muslim Converts Association of Singapore in Cultural Diversity Celebration

The Philippine Embassy on Sunday, 23 October 2016, joined the Muslim Converts Association of Singapore (MCAS) during the latter’s Cultural Diversity Celebration at the MCAS Auditorium along Onan Road, Singapore. A number of Filipino Muslim converts under the Mabuhay Club who are affiliated with the MCAS spearheaded the event. Vice Consul Laarni Zorayda Gandarosa represented the Philippine Embassy. In her remarks, Vice Consul Gandarosa thanked the Mabuhay Club and the leadership of MCAS for inviting the Embassy to be part of their celebration. She underscored the critical importance of culture in promoting unity in diversity and in forging harmony and understanding among people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds. The programme featured Filipino song and dance presentations by Mabuhay Club members and their families. The programme was followed by a boodle fight showcasing the best of Filipino cuisine.
