On 21 September 2016, Philippine Ambassador Antonio A. Morales met with the Ambassador-designate of Sweden Mr. Harald Fries at the sideline of the Sweden-Southeast Asia Business Summit at the Park Royal Hotel at Upper Pickering in Singapore. During the encounter, Mr. Fries informed Ambassador Morales on the reopening of the Swedish Embassy in Manila, which the latter hailed as a positive development in PHL-Swedish relations. Ambassador Morales also had an opportunity to meet Swedish Minister Mr. Mikael Damberg at the summit.
