29 May 2017 – Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales (center) received last 19 May at the chancery Mr. Jerry G. Tizon (rightmost), Executive Director III of the National Book Development Board (NBDB). Mr. Tizon was in Singapore to attend the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) last 17-21 May and scout for possible opportunities to bring to PH Asian-themed children’s book that were featured in the event. Mr. Tizon was also informed of a sizeable community of published Filipino writers in Singapore that NBDB may wish to explore as a way of promoting literary exchanges and linkages between PH and Singapore. Also present during the call was First Secretary and Consul Gonaranao B. Musor. NBDB is a government agency mandated to develop the book publishing industry in the Philippines.
