Philippine Tourism Promotion Board conducts 2016 sales and MICE mission to Singapore

25 May 2016—The Tourism Promotions Board of the Department of Tourism (DOT), through its Representative Office in Singapore, conducted a sales and MICE (Meetings, International Conventions and Exposition) mission to Singapore on May 24, 2015. The highlights of the sales event included the business matching session in the morning and the MICE one-on-one meeting in the afternoon at the Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre. The Guest of Honor for the sales event-Philippine Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Antonio A. Morales, delivered the welcome address.
The Philippine delegation was composed of fifteen (15) companies that included travel agencies, tour operators, hotels and resorts and two (2) airlines—Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and Silk Air. Delegates from the government side included, Mr. Domingo Ramon ‘Chicoy’ C. Enerio III, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Chief Operating Officer; Mr. Roberto P. Alabado III, DOT Regional Director, Region IX; Atty. Helen J. Catalbas, DOT Regional Director for Region VI; Mr. James A. Sy, Officer-in-Charge, ASEAN and Pacific Division, International Promotions Department, TPB. The Marketing Director of the DOT Representative Office in Singapore, Mr. Charles Leong, co-organized the event.

The giant posters on various sites of the Philippines- Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, Albay, Banaue and Boracay-were proudly displayed in Dhoby Ghaut Station, a major interchange station on Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit network. The posters will run for six weeks.
