13 March 2018 – Five (5) exhibitors from the Philippines were featured at the International Furniture Fair Singapore that ran from 8 to 11 March 2018 at the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre. The exhibitors were A. Garcia Crafts (Sto Tomas, Pampanga), Aerostone, Inc. (Imus, Cavite), Diretso (San Fernando, Pampanga), Triboa Bay Living by Vivere Lifestyles Co., Inc. (Angeles City, Pampanga) and JP Lasco (Cebu City).
The guest of honor during the opening ceremony was Minister S. Iswaran of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. During his speech, he said that the global furniture market is expected to expand from $624 billion in 2016 to $770 billion in 2021, with the Asia-Pacific market continuing to see strong 5 percent growth yearly. Coupled with changing consumer preferences and the emergence of new technologies, these developments present fresh and exciting opportunities for the furniture industry.

Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap, First Secretary and Consul Gonaranao B. Musor, Consul Laarni Zorayda S. Gandarosa and Commercial Counsellor Maria Cynthia B. Ricafort attended the launching and interacted with the PH designers.
