Philippine Embassy in Singapore Observes the 29th Anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution

24 February 2015. In observance of the 29th anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, the Philippine Embassy in Singapore is conducting an exhibit of photos of the iconic event that helped reinstate democratic rule in the Philippines.

The exhibit is displayed in the Embassy’s Cultural Corner and also at the consular area for public viewing from 24 – 27 February 2015.

On 25 February 2015, the Embassy will show a shuffled video compilation featuring the songs, “Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo” and “Magkaisa”, which were both popularized during EDSA I, also at the consular area.

Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales said that it is important to observe the event to remind Filipinos in the Philippines and abroad of its spirit and meaning and of its continuing relevance to the Philippines as a democratic country.

The exhibit, which is part of the Embassy’s observance of the iconic event, will be up for viewing by the general public until Friday, 27 February 2015.
