Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales, on Tuesday, 4 October 2016, joined his counterparts in the diplomatic corps to congratulate the winners of the Singapore Cultural Medallion and Young Artist Awards held at the Istana. The awards recognize individuals for their artistic excellence, as well as their contribution and commitment to Singapore’s arts and cultural landscape. This year’s Cultural Medallion winners conferred by President Tony Tan Keng Yam include artist Koh Mun Hong and singer Nona Asiah. The Young Artist Award winners include The recipients of the Young Artist Award are visual artist Alecia Neo; installation and performance artist Ezzam Rahman; actor, playwright and director Liu Xiaoyi; and Marc Nair and Pooja Nansi, 35, who are both writers and poets. The awards were conferred by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu.
