The Philippine Embassy in Singapore and the Philippine Overseas Labour Office organized another Post-arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) on 10 September 2017 at the public area of the Philippine chancery at 20 Nassim Road.

The regular activity is intended to orient newly-arrived Filipino household service workers (HSWs) about life in Singapore and on how and where to seek help when it needed.

Ambassador Antonio A. Morales led officials of the Philippine Embassy and the attached agencies in briefing the participants on matters that are relevant to their work and stay in Singapore.  Topics that were covered include, among others, consular services, assistance to nationals (ATN), POLO/OWWA services as well as personal security and Filipino community activities.

Officials from SSS and Pag-ibig Fund also shared ideas on savings and investment possibilities for HSWs. During the PAOS, the Philippine Embassy allowed participants to register for Overseas Voting. Volunteer Filipino lawyers also conducted free legal clinic for the participants.
