Philippines places importance to Cybersecurity at Singapore International Cyber Week 2017

The Philippines showed it takes cybersecurity very seriously with a high-level participation at the ongoing Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) at Suntec City.

National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon led Philippine officials at the event, which also included representatives from the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Philippine National Police and the Presidential Communications Operations Office. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales also attended the SICW.

SICW, now on its second year, is organized by the Singapore Cybersecurity Agency (CSA), which is under the Ministry of Communication and Information. This year’s theme is “Building a Secure and Resilient Digital Future Through Partnership”.

Highlights of SICW 2017 include ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cybersecurity (AMCC), International Cyber Leaders’ Symposium (ICLS) and ASEAN Cybercrime Prosecutors’ Roundtable meeting (CPRM) hosted by Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Attorney-General’s Chambers. The SICW 2017 will also feature GovernmentWare (GovWare) Conference and Exhibition from 19 to 21 September 2017.
