The Philippine Embassy in Singapore headed by Ambassador Antonio A. Morales celebrated an early Christmas for the Filipino community before many have left for the holidays. On Saturday, 5 December 2015, Ambassador Morales hosted the Christmas party for leaders and representatives of the Filipino community at the official residence. As has been practiced, the event started with ecumenical prayers by leaders of different faiths followed by a video presentation of events undertaken by the Philippine Embassy and the Filipino community in 2015. Consistent with the “bayanihan” spirit, various individuals and Filipino community organizations participated in the “pot luck” bringing in popular Pinoy dishes for the fellowship lunch. Christmas-themed presentations and lucky draws made it a day to remember indeed. In his remarks, Ambassador Morales thanked the Filipino community for their continued support and cooperation with the Embassy. He said that he looks forward to an even stronger partnership as “we” welcome the year 2016. Officials of the Philippine delegation to the 8th ASEAN Paralympics headed by PSC Commission Akiko Thomson-Guevara and Mr. Mike Barredo also graced the occasion to thank the Filipino community for their support to team PHL.
