20 March 2017 – Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba, Jr. (2nd from right) received on 14 March 2017 at the chancery a two-man delegation from Filinvest, headed by Mr. David T. David II (leftmost).
Mr. David reported to the Embassy that Filinvest will be opening an office soon in Singapore. This Singapore office will be simultaneously opened with its Malaysia and Japan offices as part of the company’s efforts to further penetrate the Asian market.
Consul General Dimagiba conveyed the Embassy’s full support to Filinvest in line with its economic diplomacy thrust of encouraging more PH-owned companies to explore the Singaporean market.
Filinvest was also encouraged to initiate efforts to mobilize other PH real estate companies in SG to police themselves in order to prevent unsuspecting OFWs from being duped by bogus real estate companies. Real estate properties are among the promising sectors where OFWs can invest their earnings as part of the government’s aim to promote financial literacy and management among our kababayans.
