PH EMBASSY GRACES ATENEO LEADERSHIP AND SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP GRADUATION RITES

(28 July 2022, Singapore) – The Philippine Embassy, represented by Chargé d’ Affaires Emmanuel R. Fernandez and Third Secretary and Vice Consul Joy Anne B. Lai, joined  the 30 graduates of Ateneo OF-LIFE / ALSE Batch 100 in their culminating activity held at the Auditorium of One Raffles Quay on 24 July 2022.

CDA Fernandez delivered an inspirational speech during the in-person graduation ceremony of the Ateneo program which commenced on 17 October 2021. “This program is a tool of empowerment – providing the means to chart the course of one’s life and find ways to improve oneself. But more importantly, through the program, one can be an agent of change for one’s family and community”,  he said.

The Honorary President of the Philippine Bayanihan Society of Singapore, Atty. Ranvir Kumar Singh, likewise gave his message to the graduates, while Mr. Edgardo Valenzuela, one of the founders of the Ateneo OF-LIFE / ALSE Global Program, delivered the welcome remarks via Zoom.

The Ateneo OF-LIFE Program is a 12-session, 3 module course that aims to empower overseas Filipinos with financial literacy, leadership and entrepreneurship skills. In every batch, at least seventy (70%) of the participants are migrant domestic workers.-END
