10 September 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore is proud to present Art Trek 12, which will feature 24 Filipino artists and 9 Singapore galleries that will start on 25 September until the end of October.
Apart from the many participating painters, this year’s Art Trek will also feature sculptors and a toy artist – a reflection of the diversity and eclectic styles of contemporary Filipino artists.
Since its inception in 2007, Art Trek has showcased the masterpieces of more than 200 Filipino artists in Singapore, which signify the depth of the cultural and artistic links between the two countries.
Art Trek has therefore created a niche in Singapore’s dynamic cultural scene making it the centerpiece of the Embassy’s cultural diplomacy program.
“I look forward to the support of our Singaporean and Filipino friends, as well as from the various art connoisseurs in Singapore, as we stage this year’s Art Trek. Singapore has indeed become among the art capitals of the world and we are honoured that this time 24 Filipino artists will be showcasing their talent,” Philippine Ambassador Joseph Del Mar Yap said.
