PRESS RELEASE
PR-015-2023
(20 January 2023, Singapore) Charles Leung, the representative of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), visited the new office of the Philippine Embassy at TripleOne Somerset Building and discussed possible collaborations with the Economic, Cultural, and Filcom Sections of the Embassy.
TPB, an attached agency of the Department of Tourism, was created to market and promote the Philippines to both domestic and international markets as a world-class tourism and MICE destination, in strategic partnership with private and public stakeholders to deliver a unique high-value experience for visitors, significantly contributing to increased arrivals, receipts and investments to the country.
Last year, TPB participated in the 13th edition of ITB Asia, an annually-held three-day B2B trade show and convention for the global travel industry. ITB’s participation provided an opportunity for the Philippine private sector to meet and network with their counterparts after the two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
For this year, TPB will put up a Philippine booth at the Asia ADEX Asia Dive Expo happening on 31 March to 2 April 2023. According to Mr. Leung, at least 10 tourist and dive companies from the Philippines will be participating in this year’s expo.
Asia ADEX Asia Dive Expo is Asia’s largest and longest running exhibition for the dive industry and related businesses. The trade fair provides an opportunity for vendors, retailers and tour operators to showcase their products and services to dive industry professionals, dive instructors and water sports enthusiasts. Asia Dive Expo will also highlight the importance of marine conservation through its various channels alongside its core purpose of bringing together the best in Asia’s diving industry. (END)
