Philippine Students at NTU-RSIS Singapore visit Philippine Ambassador’s Residence

Philippine students at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of Nanyang Technological University (NTU-RSIS) on Monday, 29 May 2017 visited the Philippine Ambassador’s residence in Singapore at the invitation of Ambassador Antonio A. Morales who hosted them to dinner. The students, who also count Minister and Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba Jr., are at the tail-end of their post-graduate studies at RSIS. NTU is touted as one of the top universities in Asia. Officers of the Philippine Embassy joined Ambassador Morales in hosting the guests who were served with known Philippine favourites including, among others, tinolang manok, beef caldereta, steamed fish and sautéed shrimps. The dinner, which was highlighted by a warm and candid discussion on life at NTU-RSIS and also on relevant and current issues, was followed by a brief piano performance by two (2) members of the group. The hosting is part of the thrust of Ambassador Morales to reach out to various groups of Filipinos in Singapore. The group paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador at the Philippine chancery a few weeks prior to the dinner reception.
