On 28 February 2017, representatives of the newly-organized committee that will manage the Pagdiriwang 2017, the event of the Filipino community in Singapore, which will form part of activities to commemorate the 119th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence in June 2017 gathered for lunch hosted by Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales at the American Club. Ms. Cristy Vicentina, General Manager of PNB-Singapore and First Secretary and Consul Mersole J. Mellejor also joined the occasion. The committee will take the lead in the preparations for this year’s Pagdiriwang, which is to be highlighted by a variety show featuring talents from the Philippines and Singapore.
