The training aimed to enhance the Embassy personnel’s soft skills and provide necessary knowledge in adopting trauma-informed approached when engaging with clients in distress to prevent re-traumatization. Among the topics explored were types of soft skills to use, attending and listening skills, verbal and non-verbal languages, and self-care.

The Embassy personnel also engaged in various exercises such as role-playing and self-reflections to put into practice the skills they have learned. This activity is also part of the Embassy’s Gender and Development Project for the year.
