DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy meets with the Minister for Communications and Information of Singapore, Ms. Josephine Teo, on 16 October 2023, ahead of the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW), which runs from 17 to 19 October 2023.
During their meeting, both Ministers discussed a range of critical issues in the field of communications and information technology, particularly on cybersecurity. The bilateral meeting yielded substantial discussions and marked a significant step forward in the ongoing collaboration on cybersecurity, as well as on strengthening digital cooperation and promoting innovation and technology transfer between the two countries and within the ASEAN region.
Joining Secretary Uy in the meeting were Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig, Undersecretary Alexander Ramos, Executive Director of the DICT’s Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, and Assistant Secretary Alan L. Deniega, Office for Civilian Security, Department of Foreign Affairs. (END).
