The Embassy wishes to inform the public that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has formally opened the nomination period for the 2016 Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas.

The awards are conferred by the President of the Philippines every two years to meritorious individuals and organizations overseas to give the highest recognition to their work in the service of the Filipino community or nations, and for exceptional achievements or excellence in the pursuit of their endeavors.

Nominations for individuals or organizations may be submitted to the Embassy together with the complete original supporting documents attention to the Cultural/Community Relations Section before29 April 2016 (deadline for CFO is 31 May 2016).
