The Philippine Embassy in Singapore, represented by its ATN Section Head and GAD Focal Point Person, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Laarni Zorayda Gandarosa, met with the top officials of Casa Raudha Women Home on 10 April 2018.

Both sides expressed their willingness to cooperate on areas of mutual concern, particularly in ensuring the welfare of vulnerable women and children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. They also exchanged ideas on the best practices of the shelters that they are maintaining, as well as programs for their clients.

Casa Raudha’s President, Mr. Hamzah Abdul Mutalib, informed Vice Consul Gandarosa that they are willing to extend their services to Filipino nationals who will be referred to them by the Embassy. Casa Raudha officials also toured Ms. Gandarosa around its shelter which had incorporated farming technology, including both hydroponics and aquaponics facilities. These on-site livelihood facilities ensure the self-sustainability of Casa Raudha.
