(7 June 2022, Singapore) As part of its efforts to continuously upgrade the skills of, and to foster camaraderie among its personnel, the Philippine Embassy in Singapore recently organized two (2) skills development trainings, namely, an Online Lecture on Protocol and Social Graces and a Basic Hair and Make-up Tutorial Session, both of which were participated in by the personnel of the Embassy and its attached agencies.
These trainings will equip Embassy personnel with the additional knowledge, skills and practical tips which would be especially useful for the upcoming activities that the Embassy is organizing to commemorate the 124th Philippine Independence Day this June.
The Online Lecture on Protocol and Social Graces, held on 4 June 2022, was conducted by Director Ruel U. Gunabe of the Special Projects Division, Office of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs. The comprehensive three-hour lecture discussed topics such as event and conference management, protocol of the flag, order of precedence, ceremonial activities, social graces and etiquette, and table manners.
Meanwhile, the Basic Hair and Make-up Session was an in-person event which was conducted on 19 May 2021 by Ms. Mary Grace Gatchalian-Loi, a Filipino realtor and businesswoman in Singapore, who had undergone professional hair and make-up training at The School of Make-up in Singapore. Ms. Gatchalian-Loi shared with the Embassy ladies some tips, tricks and beauty routines and hair styling for both everyday natural look and for formal events. (END).
