13 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), in cooperation with the Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ACMI), conducted the second Post Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for 2018 last 10 June at the Agape Village, 7A Lorong 8 Toa Payoh, Singapore 319264. This is part of the Embassy’s continuing efforts to bring its services closer to the Filipino Community and to foster relationships with its stakeholders.
The seminar was attended by 250 Filipino Household Service Workers (HSWs) from various POLO-accredited agencies where they were provided with information to help them achieve a pleasant living and working experience in Singapore.
Ambassador Joseph Del Mar Yap led officials of the Philippine Embassy and the attached agencies in reminding our kababayans to be law-abiding residents of Singapore.
Embassy and POLO officials took turns in orienting the HSWs on the Embassy’s consular, assistance-to-nationals, labor and welfare, OWWA, SSS and Pag-IBIG services.
The event was also supported by the Embassy’s institutional partners, including the Philippine National Bank, Metro Remittance Singapore Pte. Ltd, BDO Singapore, LBC Express, Afreight Cargo Pte. Ltd, and PLDT Singapore.
