27 February 2017. Philippine Embassy officials headed by Ambassador Antonio A. Morales showed support for the Philippine Madrigal Singers during its concert on 26 February 2017 at the Esplanade Concert Hall, Singapore. The Embassy officials joined the concertgoers, who filled the whole concert hall, in enjoying an afternoon of choral music sung acappella.
Impressing the audience with their vocal prowess, the choral group performed a wide repertoire of renaissance and classical music, Filipino and international folk songs, and contemporary popular music.
The group, also known as Madz, is the first choir in the world to win the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing twice, and it has also won top prizes in prestigious choral competitions in Europe.
