EMBASSY HOLDS PRODUCTIVE WORKSHOP ON WEBSITE CONTENT MANAGEMENT

(25 March 2024, Singapore) – Key personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore successfully completed a two-day training workshop entitled “Introduction to WordPress: Web Content Management Essentials,” held on the 23rd of February and 22nd of March 2024.

 

Designed to technically upskill participants and ensure the continuity of the Embassy’s website operations, the intensive 7-hour training program was led by Ms. Patricia Ella Garcia, a Singapore-based Filipino digital consultant with extensive expertise in web technology. Fourteen (14) participants successfully completed the course.

 

The workshop covered a comprehensive range of topics essential for website management through WordPress, including how to manage pages and media files, the use of plugins, and important aspects of website maintenance. A notable highlight of the training was the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) features to enhance website functionality and user engagement. The training also touched on the use of  crucial security measures, to ensure that the Embassy’s online presence remains secure and reliable.

 

Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig expressed full support for this endeavor, stating, “Upskilling our staff is crucial in adapting to the digital evolution and maintaining the effectiveness of our Embassy operations. Initiatives like these not only enhance our capabilities but also ensure that we continue to serve our kababayans in Singapore more efficiently and securely.”
