New PH Ambassador to Singapore Presents His Credentials to SG President
Singaporean President Halimah Yacob personally receives the Letter of Credence of the new Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap and the Letter of Recall of his predecessor, Ambassador Antonio A. Morales

26 January 2018 – His Excellency Joseph Del Mar Yap, the new Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, presented his credentials to Singaporean President, Her Excellency Mdm. Halimah Yacob, yesterday at the Istana, the Official Residence and Office of the President.

Ambassador Yap was accompanied during the ceremony by his wife, Madame Josephine Gotianun Yap, Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba, Jr., and Consul Gonaranao B. Musor.

Before being received by President Yacob, Ambassador Yap was escorted by the Guard Commander during the customary review of the Presidential Honor Guard at the grounds of the Istana.

During the call on President Yacob after presenting his credentials, Ambassador Yap invited the President to undertake a State Visit to the Philippines as 2019 marks the golden jubilee of the bilateral relations between the Philippines and Singapore.
