AT-SUNRICE GLOBAL CHEF ACADEMY’S SUNDAY LUXE SERIES FEATURES FILIPINO CULINARY HERITAGE

27 March 2023, Singapore – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore supported the Sunday Luxe Series of At-Sunrice Global Chef Academy featuring Filipino Culinary Heritage, hosted by the guest chef, Chef Edward Lim Esmero on 26 March 2023.

The Philippine Embassy contingent, led by Deputy Head of Mission and Consul General Emmanuel R. Fernandez, was treated to a tour around the Culinary Academy by its Founder & Director, Ms. Tan Kwan Siu. Discussions on possible partnerships and collaborations between the Embassy and the Academy were also explored.

Chef Edward prepared a 4-course degustation meal consisting of Filipino well-loved dishes, including lumpiang shanghai, sinigang na bangus, arroz valenciana “A la Eduardo” on a giant Paellera, and the ultimate sweet treat, leche flan.

During the conversation with Chef Edward, he shared that he was fortunate to grow up in an environment that exposed him to a myriad of culinary influences in the Philippines. Chef Edward is the executive chef and co-owner of My Little Spanish Place Singapore (https://www.mylittlespanishplace.com.sg/), one of the established Spanish restaurants in the city-island. 

The Sunday Luxe Series is an experiential day of learning and tasting with one of its invited guest chefs in Singapore. It is an opportunity for food and wine enthusiasts to come together and enjoy cuisines from all around the  globe, participate in cooking demonstrations, and take home products from the Produce Pop Up Market.
