Filipino awardees honoured at 6th FDW Day and FAST 10th Anniversary celebration

Two (2) Filipino household service workers (HSWs) were recipients of awards during the 6th Foreign Domestic Workers (FDW) Day and 10th Anniversary celebration of the Foreign Domestic Workers Association for Skills Training (FAST) held at the Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre, Singapore, on 6 December 2015. Ms. Dionisia Liwag Valdez, took the runner-up honours as Most Outstanding FDW while Ms. Analiza Bravo Cañaveral was Merit Winner. The Filipinos, along with their colleagues from Sri Lanka, were recognized for excellent service and outstanding relationship with their employers. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales, Labor Attaché Ramon Tionloc Jr. and officials of the Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Overseas Labour Office/OWWA congratulated the two (2) awardees during the event. Singapore Minister of State for Manpower Sam Tan was Guest of Honour.
