The Philippines is featured in a booth at the special exhibition dubbed “Flatworld and Mashup” organized by Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC). The exhibition is curated by SDC in partnership with various embassies, government agencies and private organizations. It is a multifaceted, multisensory and highly interactive featuring personal stories, hands-on activities and innovative products as well as services that engage in the topic of globalization in relation to Singapore’s global position. The Philippine Embassy in Singapore collaborated with SDC in putting up the Philippine showcase as part of its ASEAN-related activities in Singapore during the Philippine chairmanship of ASEAN. The Philippine booth, among others, features Gingersnaps, Jollibee and preserved dried mangoes as examples of Philippine brands that made their way to the global market and Senator Manny Pacquiao is showcased as the country’s global personality. The exhibition will run until 25 June 2017.
