Philippine Embassy in Singapore warns Filipinos from unlawful possession of arms or ammunition

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore reported the arrest of a Filipino National by the Singapore Airport Police for the offense of Possession of Ammunitions under Sec. 3 (1) Cap. 14 of the Arms Offences Act of Singapore.

The Department reiterates its advice to travellers from the Philippines not to carry, whether intentionally or otherwise, any form of ammunition in their belongings. The carrying of guns and ammunition is strictly regulated by the Philippines and other countries,  and violators will be arrested by police authorities. In order to avoid arrest and unnecessary delay in their journey, especially those traveling to, or transiting in Singapore, Filipino travellers are reminded not to carry arms or ammunitions.
