Participants in the seminar were mostly household service workers (HSWs) who have just arrived in Singapore on their first contract on employment. Ambassador Antonio A. Morales led officials of the Philippine Embassy and the attached agencies in briefing the participants on matters that are relevant to their work and stay in Singapore. Topics that were covered include, among others, consular services, assistance to nationals (ATN) overseas absentee voting (OAV), POLO/OWWA services as well as personal safety and Filipino community activities. Representatives from SSS and Pag-ibig Fund as well as from the private sector were also present to share their insights on savings and investment possibilities for HSWs. The PAOS is a regular activity that is held once every two months alternating with the regular Filcom leaders meeting organized by the Philippine Embassy.
