28 July 2015. The Philippine Embassy in Singapore opened its premises last Sunday, 26 July 2015, to allow more Filipino nationals in Singapore to register as overseas absentee voters (OAV) for Philippine national elections in 2016. This was part of overall efforts to provide more openings for OAV applicants in Singapore. A total of 173 OAV applications were processed following the Post-arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) conducted by the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) earlier. The OAV registration on alternate Sundays at the Philippine Embassy will continue until the period comes to an end on 31 October 2015.
