On 1 May 2015, Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Ambassador Antonio A. Morales joined representatives of the Philippine Embassy and members of the Filipino community in Singapore to watch the Philippine Gilas cadets defeat a gritty Singapore team to win the crown at the 11th Southeast Asia Basketball Championships at the OCBC Arena, Singapore, with a final score of 82-56. The Gilas cadets have dominated their opponents in the tourney winning by an average 68.4 points. In the above photo, golden confetti rains as the final buzzer sounded.
