28 March 2016. In observance of the 12th Women with Disabilities Day, the Philippine Embassy in Singapore is exhibiting a banner displayed in the Embassy’s Cultural Corner of the Chancery. The banner will be on display for the duration of the month of March.
The celebration’s theme is “Kapakanan at Karapatan ni Juanang Maykapansan, Isama sa Plano ng Bayan.”
To highlight the celebration, the Philippine Embassy organized a seminar where one of the speakers, Ms. Obelia Cutiongco, of Espesyal Pinoy, a Filipino support group, gave a talk on the importance of role players, particularly mothers, in helping children with Special Needs.
