The Philippine Embassy in Singapore virtually attended the hybrid seminar on business and economic priorities under Indonesia’s ASEAN Chairmanship held on 14 February 2023 at the ISEAS- Yusof Ishak Institute.
Mr. Arsjad Rashid, Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) 2023, was the speaker for the said event. Mr. Rashid was joined by Mr. Gil Gonzales, Chief Director, ASEAN Business Advisory Council, and Mr. Bernardino Vega, Alternate Chair, ASEAN Business Advisory Council Indonesia, to respond to questions during the seminar.
With the 2023 ASEAN Theme: “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” , Indonesia, as ASEAN Chair for 2023, aims to foster stronger ties between ASEAN member nations to be able to meet regional and global challenges, as well as advance its regional economic prosperity. The ASEAN BAC 2023 Policy Advocacy of ASEAN Centrality: Innovating Towards Greater Inclusivity is aimed to meet such goals through digital transformation, sustainable development, health resilience, food security, and trade facilitation.
