Officials of the Philippine Embassy and its attached agencies in Singapore headed by Ambassador Antonio A. Morales joined representatives of the Filipino community and other well-wishers at the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the new school of AIMS Learning International at MAPEX Building, Jalan Peminpin, on Sunday, 2 April 2017. AIMS Learning International is one of a number of skills training providers (STPs) that implement training programs for overseas workers in Singapore including many Filipinos. In his brief message, Ambassador Morales congratulated the AIMS officials and also the STP’s benefactors and supporters for pooling their resources together to provide opportunities for overseas workers particularly Filipinos to gain new knowledge and learn additional skills that would enable them to start small- and medium-scale enterprises that could provide them alternative sources of livelihood in the future.
