PRESS RELEASE
PR-012-2024
29 February 2024, Singapore – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore leveraged its ongoing art exhibit entitled “Pathways of the Heart” as an opportunity to encourage Filipinos in Singapore to continue building up their capacities and diversifying their skills in order to remain relevant and competitive. In a special viewing it hosted last February 27 for Filipino community leaders, writers, journalists and entrepreneurs, the Embassy stressed the need for Filipinos to continuously “reinvent” themselves by going out of their comfort zones and developing new skills. It commended its special guests for their courage to discover and pursue other “callings” on top of their day jobs, and said that this is a trait that they have in common with the Embassy personnel and their family members who pursued their passion for art on top of their being full-time diplomats and professionals in other fields. It encouraged the Filipino community leaders, writers, journalists and entrepreneurs to inspire other Filipinos in Singapore to develop the same trait.
“Pathways of the Heart” features the paintings, photography and digital art pieces of the personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore and their accompanying family members. It was launched on 16 February 2024 with the attendance of the Heads of Mission, Deputy Heads of Mission and other diplomats from various ASEAN and European Embassies in Singapore.
The exhibit will conclude on 01 March 2024, but it will continue to be held virtually. Those who wish to view the exhibit online can do so by visiting this secure link: phinsg.com/PathwaysoftheHeART. (END)
