Philippine Embassy participates in Inaugural Diplomatic Charity Bazaar in Singapore

The Philippine Embassy participated in the inaugural Diplomatic Charity Bazaar held at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore on 24 October 2015. The Bazaar was jointly organized by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps as part of the SG 50 celebrations to raise funds for selected charity organizations in Singapore. Some 47 booths were put up by participating diplomatic and consular missions showcasing products from their respective countries. On sale at the Philippine booth were, among others, unique t’nalak textiles, Philippine barong-inspired wear, food products, drinks and novelty items. Also on display were pull-up banners showcasing prime tourism destinations in the country. Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and his wife graced the occasion, which was also attended by the Heads of Mission of the participating missions including Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales. The full-house event was hailed as a complete success.
