Mass Media Accreditation for the 2016 OAV Elections

For the information of local, international and other media representatives in Singapore,

In relation to the upcoming 2016 Overseas Absentee Voting in Singapore, the Embassy would like to provide the attached COMELEC Resolution No. 10037 on  the guidelines for mass media accreditation.  Kindly take preferential note on the Rules of Conduct for all Media representatives listed in the COMELEC resolution.

Interested parties may submit the fully accomplished Accreditation Application Form (Information Sheet) together with two (2) recent 2 x 2 colored photographs, a valid ID and an original endorsement from the newspaper, television, radio station, or internet news agency employing the applicant.

The period of filing applications for accreditation to COMELEC shall be from 1 February 2016 to 31 March 2016.  This period shall be non-extendible.  Applications filed after the last day for filing shall not be entertained.  Meanwhile, to allow the Embassy time to submit your application to COMELEC, it would be appreciated if the application could be filed earlier or by 23 March 2016.

Applications for accreditation shall be personally filed at the Philippine Embassy (Attention: Cultural/Filipino Community Relations Section).
