The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Singapore, led by Philippine Ambassador Joseph del Mar Yap, along with the Department of Trade and Industry, will hold the 3rd Philippines-Singapore Business and Investment Summit on April 27, 2022. The virtual summit will feature Philippine cabinet members and other high-level government officials who will discuss why the Philippines is an ideal business and investment destination.
Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi and Central Bank Governor Benjamin Diokno will discuss the monetary policy, tax reforms, improved economic climate, and bright medium- and long-term growth prospects, along with specific investment opportunities.
Enterprise Singapore will also share how they support Singapore companies expanding in the Philippines and Singapore companies doing business in the Philippines will share their experiences and key insights.
The inaugural forum of the PSBIS was held in October 2019 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore with five Cabinet-level Philippine officials and over 210 participants. The 2nd investment summit was conducted virtually in light of the pandemic last year. With the same powerhouse team of ministers and high-level officials, the webinar had 400 participants composed of Singapore-based business leaders representing enterprises, manufacturing companies, multinational corporations, business organizations, MSMEs, chambers of commerce and members of the diplomatic corps.
This year’s investment summit will be held via a Zoom webinar. To register, please visit https://bit.ly/PHSGSummit or contact Philippine Commercial Counsellor Carla Grepo at singapore@dti.gov.ph.
