Officials of the Global Filipino Movement (GFM) led by Pastor Lito Sampan visited the Philippine Embassy Singapore on 11 September 2017. Ambassador Antonio A. Morales, Consul Mersole J. Mellejor and Labour Attache Lamberto Pastrana received the GFM officials who came with Pastor Nazario Sinon of the Gospel Light Church of Christ Singapore.
During the call, Pastor Sampan gave an overview of the activities of GFM, which are intended to help overseas Filipino workers. He informed Ambassador Morales of GFM’s plan to work with Christian churches in Singapore on the possible implementation of skills training programs for OFWs in Singapore.
Ambassador Morales encouraged Pastor Sampan to work with existing skills training providers and leverage on their experience of training OFWs in Singapore.
