Global Community Day 2017 features Philippine booth

The Global Community Day (GCD) 2017 celebration that opened on Friday, 7 July 2017, at the Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore featured booths showcasing unique culinary specialties and cultural identities of various countries including the Philippines. Celebrating the 50th Founding Anniversary of ASEAN, the opening of this year’s GCD saw the presence of Member of Parliament Janil Pututcheary and representatives of the diplomatic community including Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales.

Filipino students and members of the faculty of Temasek Polytechnic, who were wearing the Philippine barong, worked together in putting up the Philippine booth, which showcased Filipino favourites including, among others, kinilaw na tuna and pancit.
