On Sunday, 21 May 2017, Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales attended the Pinoy Got Talent 2017 edition at the YWCA Singapore. The biennial event organized by OFW Pinoy Star is one of the most-anticipated beauty pageants and talent competitions involving candidates from the Philippines in Singapore. There were three (3) categories of the competition – She’s My Girl, My Pinoy Star 2017 and Pinoy Star Got Talent 2017- which drew in a number of contestants. In his brief message, Ambassador Morales congratulated OFW Pinoy Star headed by Mr. Clement and Luz Mesenas and their volunteers for once again organizing the event. He stressed that it is a good thing for Filipinos to have an opportunity to bring a part of their hometown environment in the Philippines by being able to showcase not only their physical attributes but also their inherent talent to entertain the audience through their different stage performances. He also thanked the supporters for actively contributing to the success of the activity. Ambassador Morales was joined by officers of the Philippine Embassy. Typical of weekends in Singapore, Ambassador Morales led a big contingent of the Philippine Embassy at the annual Bayanihan Walk at Labrador Park Singapore prior to attending the OFW Pinoy Talent Festival.
