Post-arrival Orientation Seminar held at the Philippine Bayanihan Centre in Singapore

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore through the Philippine Overseas Labour Office organized the first Post-arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for the year 2017 on Sunday, 19 February 2017, at the Philippine Bayanihan Centre in Pasir Panjang. Participants in the seminar were newly-arrived household service workers (HSWs) Ambassador Antonio A. Morales led officials of the Philippine Embassy and the attached agencies in briefing the participants on matters that are relevant to their work and stay in Singapore.  Topics that were covered include, among others, consular services, financial literacy, assistance to nationals (ATN) overseas absentee voting (OAV), POLO/OWWA services as well as personal security and Filipino community activities.  Representatives from SSS and Pag-ibig Fund as well as from the private sector were also present to share their insights on savings and investment possibilities for HSWs. The PAOS is a regular activity that is held once every two months alternating with the regular Filcom leaders meeting organized by the Philippine Embassy.
