As part of the Philippine Embassy’s activities for the 2023 National Women’s Month (NWM), and to increase participation and awareness of the Filipino Community in Singapore on NWM’s theme “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”, the Philippine Embassy will conduct a photo contest to encourage Overseas Filipinas working or residing in Singapore to post on Facebook their photo/s 1) wearing purple; 2) with their own interpretation of the NWM’s theme; and 3) by tagging the Facebook account of the Philippine Embassy (@PHinSingapore).

The participant with the winning photo entry will win a #DigitALL Bundle containing the following items perfect for the #JuanaOnTheGo: Medium-size traveling bag, a powerbank, wireless earphones, charging cables,  as well as a Certificate of Recognition from the Embassy. This is in keeping with the International Women’s Day 2023 theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.


  1. Open to all interested Filipinas, of legal age, who are working or residing in Singapore; and
  2. Limited to individual participants only.


  1. All interested participants must post their photo and tag the official Facebook page of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore (@PHinSingapore) within the contest proper, which is from 9:00 am of 12 March (Sunday) until 5:00 PM on 26 March 2023 (Sunday).
  2. Tag one (1) entry of a creative shot in a high resolution JPEG/PNG file, in portrait or landscape format.
  3. Each participant is entitled to one (1) entry only.
  4. Entries must capture the theme “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”.
  5. Include a title and short description (not more than 150 words only) of your photo, either in English or Filipino, or a combination of both.
  6. Each photo must be an original photo taken and/or submitted by the participant. 
  7. Entries with any of the following disqualifications will not be considered for selection:
  • Involving photo manipulation – altering the basic reality of the photos such as removal or insertion of objects from the photo, cloning the pixels to create a new image, etc;
  • Containing date stamps, watermarks or any text on the image;
  • Published online or in any media platform or submitted to other contest/s
  • Violating trademark and copyright laws; and
  • Containing explicit and malicious intent that provokes discrimination on race, sex, religion and other forms of human and animal rights.

8. A selection committee of the Embassy will judge the best photo based on the following criteria:

    • Relevance to the theme – 25%
    • Creativity – 25%
    • Message – 25%
    • Originality – 25%

9. The winning entry will be announced and posted on the Facebook page of the Philippine Embassy on 31 March 2023. Depending on the number of entries received, the Embassy may decide at a later stage to announce winners of consolation prizes. 

10. The resulting outcome of the selection committee will be final and unappealable.

11. Through submission of entry (through posting and tagging the Embassy Facebook page), the participant agrees to all the contest mechanics including permission to use the winner’s name and other details provided in the Facebook post entry.

12. All participants retain the ownership of their photos but their submission (through  posting and tagging) to the Embassy gives the latter the authority to use the images for promotion of other official purposes, but not for commercial use. (See photo release form)
