The Filipino community in Singapore had an early Christmas gathering at the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) on Friday, 02 December 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m..
Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales, together with officials and personnel of the Philippine Embassy and the attached agencies, hosted the annual gathering before some of the leaders and members of the Filipino community will go for their yuletide vacation.
The main program started with ecumenical prayers by leaders of different faiths and welcome remarks by Ambassador Morales.
Following the “bayanihan” spirit, various Filipino community organizations and companies pitched in popular Pinoy dishes for dinner and lucky draw prizes.
The occasion was also an opportunity for the Filipino community to view the on-going exhibits at the ACM including the Port Cities exhibition that also showcased Philippine collections.
During the main programme, performers from the Filipino community rendered popular Christmas songs. A raffle draw with prizes contributed by Filipino company and individual donors highlighted the gathering. The first prize, a roundtrip air-ticket (SG/MNL/SG) from Redimoney Express Pte Ltd..
