26 January 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore attended the VIP Preview of the ART STAGE Singapore last 25 January at the Marina Bay Sands.

ART STAGE Singapore, which runs from 26 to 28 January 2018, is the flagship show of the Southeast Asian art world and the anchor event of Singapore Art Week.

Among the Filipino artists featured during the event include Mr. JC Jacinto, a UP Fine Arts graduate whose exhibition, ‘Independent As the Sun’, is a continuation of his investigation into the autonomous life of rocks and minerals; Ms. Geraldine Javier, a contemporary Filipina visual artist who is best known for her wok on blends of painting with various media; and Mr. Rodel Tapaya, whose works usually depict narratives embedded in Filipino cultural history as a commentary on contemporary life and issues.
