PH Embassy in SG conducts briefing for De La Salle Lipa Students

14 December 2016 – It was a full house at the Official Residence of the Philippine Ambassador to Singapore as more than 100 students of De La Salle Lipa’s College of Business, Economics, Accountancy and Management attended a briefing by the PH Embassy on 08 December 2016.

Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba Jr. formally received the students on behalf of PH Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales. In his welcome remarks, Consul General Dimagiba gave a general overview of Singapore and its bilateral relations with the Philippines, the Filipino community and the PH Embassy’s mandate, among others.

Commercial Counsellor Glenn G. Penaranda then delivered a presentation on “Promoting PH as a Business Destination and Partner in terms of 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion and Place)” to effectively contextualize his lecture on the students’ academic background.

In emphasizing the concept of ‘One Country Team Approach’, Mr. Penaranda said that the “Ambassador is the chief marketer of the Philippines in Singapore, while the Filipino community serves as ambassadors of goodwill.”

Mr. Penaranda also cited the “PH Advantage” as a value proposition that makes PH products and services more attractive to customers.

During the Q&A session, Consul General Dimagiba even encouraged the students to consider the foreign service as an alternative career.

The students were then treated to a merienda specially prepared by the Embassy.

The briefing was part of the program of activities of the students during their educational tour of Singapore.
