Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales and other officials of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore joined the Philippine delegation at the 16^th Shangri-La Dialogue held on 2-4 June 2017. The Shangri-La Dialogue (SLD), organized by the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS), is widely considered as Asia’s premier defence summit that brings together top defence and armed forces officials of countries around the world. The Philippine delegation was headed by DND Undersecretary for Policy Ricardo David. This year’s SLD focused on pressing security issues including, among others, extremist terrorism, the situation in the Korean peninsula, cyber threats, the South China Sea and climate change.
